My name’s Violette.
I was dying for a gorgeous car, cool shoes, sparkling diamonds, sexy dresses, and whatever…and a luxury hotel of my own　(Yes, the kind one would call "One island, one resort"😃)
Just for a joke, I named it “Hotel California”, though it is on a remote island full of natural beauty😉

I did it. 'Course all by myself.
How? 'T was easy.
I am kind of prettier and cleverer than others.That’s all.

I lived in the presidential suite of my own hotel.
Everything was so fine and sweet - until I hear the news the damn government is trying to arrest me for tax evasion.

Now I’ve got the citizenship here so doesn’t matter if I stay here, but if I should ever return, they’d investigate my account, for sure.

I don’t care if the charge is only for the tax evasion, but, eh, in a way, I got something more to hide.
I don’t mind paying some extra, but the prison is no go.

“Madame, you’ve never left the hotel - you could check out any time you want, 'cause this is your property.”

said the pretty concierge with a wink.

“I know. But I would not leave - I could never. How could I leave a paradise for a hell?”

冗談で、ホテルカリフォルニア、って名前をつけたわ。自然の美しい離島に建ってるんだけどねw

そして手に入れたわ。何もかも自分でね。
どうやったのかって？簡単だったわ。
私は他の人よりちょっとだけ、綺麗で賢かった。それだけのことよ。

私は自分の所有するホテルのプレジデンシャルスイートに住んでいた。
何もかも素敵で夢みたいな暮らし…あのニュースが耳に入るまでは。あのクズみたいな政府の奴らが私を脱税で訴えようとしてる。

私はここの市民権も持ってるから、ここから出さえしなければ安泰。でも万が一国に戻ったら、間違いなく口座に操作が入るわね。

まあ脱税だけならいいんだけど…まあ、言ったら、もう少し隠したいことなんかもある。
ちょっと追徴金払うぐらいならいいけど、刑務所は勘弁。

「マダム、一度もこのホテルからお出になったことはありませんね？いつでもお好きな時にチェックアウトしていいんですよ？この場所は全てあなたのものなのですから。」

イケメンのコンシェルジュはそう言ってウインクした。

「わかっているわ。でも、私は絶対に出ていかない…出ていけるわけがない。何でわざわざ天国を出て地獄なんかに行かなきゃいけないの？」
